Pantanal (swampland and shallows, actually a vast alluvial plain) is a vast wetland area in the center of South America with approximately 140,000 square kilometers (50,000 sq. miles) in Brazil. It's a perfect ecological niche for a great number of birds,
reptiles and other animals to the delight of wildlife watchers and photographers.
Savannah tableland - Geologically as old as the Andes formation, the Chapada dos Guimarães Tableland with its average 760 m high, gives sources to all main rivers and waters that run into the Pantanal. Its waterfalls, creeks, rock formations covered with Savannah
(Savannah-like) vegetation and exotic wildlife, present this National Park with an unbeaten beauty.
LAND SAFARI - 5 DAYS/4 NIGHTS PROGRAM
Day 1:
CUIABÁ - PANTANAL LOWLANDS
Arrival at Cuiabá/ Várzea Grande airport or pick up at hotel and transfer to Pantanal lowlands.
While crossing the area, it is possible to spot and appreciate the local flora & fauna. Sunset observation, trekking on the surrounding area. After dinner, night tour to observe
the nocturnal environment. Overnight at Araras Eco Lodge.
Day 2:
PANTANAL LOWLANDS
Full day to observe Pantanal flora & fauna at the Araras Eco Lodge private reserve. After breakfast,
the guide will lead you by car, trekking or horseback ride, through this particular ecosystem, allowing you to learn and understand the local environment. Overnight at Araras Eco Lodge.
Day 3:
PANTANAL LOWLANDS
Discovery trip on the Pantanal raised dirt roads, including the Transpantaneira Park Road. Canoe tour to spot aquatic
wildlife, birds and flora; possibility to arrange piranha fishing. Picnic lunch in route. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4:
PANTANAL LOWLANDS - SAVANNAH TABLELAND
After breakfast, departure towards the Guimarães Tablelands. Visit to the main sites: Portão do Inferno, Véu de Noiva,
and Salgadeira waterfalls. Lunch will be served at Cachoeirinha's Restaurant, located in front of a nice waterfall. Dinner and overnight at regional inn.
Day 5:
SAVANNAH TABLELAND - CUIABÁ - AIRPORT
Sunrise at the geodesic center of South America. After breakfast, further visit on way to Cuiabá Airport. Arrival in
Rio de Janeiro and transfer to hotel. Day at leisure.
Day 6:
Breakfast buffet at hotel. Full day Jeep tour to Corcovado Mountain and through the Tijuca Forest with lunch included. Beverages are not included. Night at leisure.
Day 7:
Breakfast buffet at hotel. Day at leisure. Transfer out to airport.

Included: 1 overnight in Chapada dos Guimarães, 3 overnights in the Pantanal, all the activities
and meals according to the program, bilingual guide and air-conditioned transportation.
Package includes in Rio de Janeiro:
1) 2 overnights in double room;
