Around Brazil - I 13 nights - 14 days

Package starts in Rio de Janeiro. Rio nestles between the mountains and the sea. Be it at night or during the day, the visitor quickly finds out why Rio is known as the Marvelous City.

Day 1:

Meet and greet at airport for transfer-in to hotel. Pick-up in the afternoon for a half-day-tour to The Sugar Loaf Mountain. Our clients are to go on a 770 feet high-cable-car-ride up to Sugar Loaf Mountain.Built in 1912, Sugar Loaf is one of the most famous landmarks in the world. Tour is also to include a sightseeing along beaches, as far as Barra da Tijuca Beach. On the way back to hotel there will be a short stop at São Conrado beach for refreshments (at clients expenses) such as coconut water, "caipirinha ", " chopp " (draft beer). Night at leisure.

Day 2:

Breakfast-buffet at hotel. Morning pick-up at hotel for a full-day-cultural-walking-tour which is to include lunch at " Confeitaria Colombo":

Nossa Senhora da Glória do Outeiro Church - Known as Outeiro da Glória, it is a magnificent site . This octagonal-shaped-church, in a colonial style, located on a hill, has fascinating walls decorated with Portuguese tiles;

Palacio do Itamaraty - Neo-Classic style.The palace was built for "Barão do Itamaraty", a Portuguese Baron. Nowadays it keeps the Diplomatic-Historical-Museum;

Real Gabinete Português de Leitura - The Royal institution was founded in 1.837. However, the building started being built in 1.884. Three years later (1.887) it was concluded. A piece of art with portuguese marble all over;

Teatro Municipal - A replica of " L'Opera de Paris". It was inaugurated on the 14th of July 1.909. Ecletic style for it mixes barroc and classical traces .It is the most luxurious theatre in town.

Casa Colombo - Inaugurated on the 17th of September 1.894, this eclectic stile building with traces of " noveau " became a meeting point for artists and politicians since the beginning of the century. In the evening, a Rio by Night Tour : New Show in Town - "Ela Brasil " , a musical. Tour includes dinner (excludes beverages) at Borsalino Restaurant.

Day 3:

Breakfast-buffet at hotel.

Morning at leisure.

Afternoon half-day-tour: Corcovado Mountain, Tijuca Forest and Maracanã Stadium. The statue of Christ Redeemer (38 meters high) rests atop Corcovado Mountain (2.330 feet ) was inaugurated on the 9th of October 1.931.

The statue, that seen from a distance can be taken as a cross, is to symbolize a catholic nation : Brazil .

Evening pick-up for a Rio by Night Tour: dinner and show (live music) at Mistura Fina Show House. Beverages are not included.

Day 4:

Breakfast-buffet at hotel.

Transfer-out to airport for flight to Foz do Iguaçú

Foz do Iguaçú

The two-mile-wide-curtain of water crashing 300ft over a series of precipices into a spray-filled gorge constitutes the most spectacular sight of southern Brazil but there are more to be seen and done.

Meet and greet at airport for transfer-in to hotel.

Check-in is to be followed by a guided-walking-tour to the Brazilian side of the falls, when one is to experience the view of the 275 waterfalls.

Evening pick-up for Iguaçu by Night Tour: folkloric show at " Rafain Churrascaria". Dinner-buffet at the very same place is included (no beverage is included).

During folkloric show, one is to watch typical cultural manifestations of Paraguay, Bolivia, Chile, Brazil and Argentina.

Day 5:

Breakfast-buffet at hotel.

Morning pick-up for the Macuco Safari Tour: nautical tour, on board of a speed-boat, along Iguaçú river. After that, clients are to be transfered back to hotel in order to pack and checkout Before transfer-out to airport, clients are to go on a visit to The Bird Park: an open-air-area, inside the national park of Iguaçú where clients are to watch birds ( from all over the world ) of many different species as they walk along the tracks .

Brasília

To build a capital city in the deserted center of the country had always been a Brazilian dream, but it was only after pressure from Juscelino Kubitschek, elected President in 1955, that such a daring and imposing project became reality, in 1.960 .

Day 6:

Breakfast-buffet at hotel.

Morning pick-up for a full-day-tour which is to include lunch (no beverages included) at "Spettus" Barbecue Restaurant. Tour is called " Brasília Secreta " ( The Secret Brasilia ) .This is an unique tour where one is to be tought about the many similarities between this young city ( 40 years old ) and the old Akhetaton ( former capital ) , in Egypt .

Clients are to visit places such as: Catedral Metropolitana; Palácio do Itamaraty; Supremo Tribunal de Justiça; Praça dos Três Poderes; Ministério da Justiça; CNPq; Igreja Messiânica; Colégio JK ; Palácio Buriti ; Memorial JK ; Centro de Convenções ; Torre de TV ; Santuário Dom Bosco ; Igreja Santa Cruz ; Templo LBV ; Templo Budista ; Ermida Dom Bosco e Palácio Massônico .

Day 7:

Breakfast-buffet at hotel .

Transfer-out to airport for flight to Manaus .

Manaus

The Amazon equatorial rainforest, covering a vast area, and full of natural resources, is the largest biological reserve in the world. It contains one third of all living species on earth and is crossed by 10 of the 20 largest rivers in the world.

Meet and greet at airport for a city-tour before transfer to The Amazon Ecopark Lodge.This is a 4-day/3-night package: E2. Program will be as it follows:

Pick-up at 13:30 (or at 14:00 at Hotel Tropical pier) and transfer to the "Amazon Ecopark Lodge". Reception with local juice after which guests will be shown to their rooms.

After dinner, an evening canoe-tour for "Alligator Spotting".

Overnight at the lodge.

Day 8:

Breakfast-buffet at the lodge which is to be followed by a "Natural-Hike". Return for regional lunch. After a short rest, visit to the home of local Amazonian residents ("caboclos") with an opportunity for "piranha" fishing. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9:

Breakfast-buffet at hotel .

Morning pick-up for a full-day- tour to the "Meeting of the Waters" with lunch at a floating restaurant.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 10:

Breakfast-buffet at the lodge, which is to be followed by a visit to the " Monkey Jungle".

Check-out and transfer back to Manaus for flight departure to Salvador.

Salvador

Bahia is a friendly and fascinating state, and in Salvador, the State capital, it is easy to lose yourself with so many unusual things to see. There are no less than 365 Churches, one for every day of the year. The most ornate of all is the Church of São Francisco, and at the Bonfim Church the African and Christian religious beliefs meet.

Day 11:

Breakfast-buffet at hotel.

Morning pick-up at hotel for a full-day-city-tour , including lunch ( excluding beverages ) at " Restaurante Uauá " where clients will taste the most typical regional food .

After lunch , clients will be gifted with afro-percussion-lessons for about 1 hour .

Evening pick-up for a " By Night Tour " : dinner and folkloric show either at " Solar do Unhão" or at " Teatro Miguel Santana " . Beverages are not included .

Day 12:

Breakfast-buffet at hotel.

Morning pick-up for a full-day-panoramic-tour , including lunch at " Restaurante da Dadá " ( beverages are not included ). The old and the new parts of town are to be shown : "bairro da ribeira ; Igreja do Bonfim ; Mercado Modelo ; Terreiro Casa Branca ( subject matter is camdomblé ) " . Clients are to visit the sacred place for the African rituals and ceremonies After lunch, clients are to visit " Museu Carlos Costa Pinto " : china ; colonial furniture ; jewels that once belonged to ancient black slaves .

Day 13:

Morning pick-up at hotel for a full-day-tour- "Litoral-Norte" .

Clients are to visit beaches such as Praia do Arembepe , Praia de Guarajuba , Praia do Forte .

Tour is to include lunch at " Restaurante Cabanas do Aruá " , with view to Aruá Lake .Lunch includes a welcome drink : " CAIPIRINHA " ; a typical Brazilian drink made out of lemon juice, , ice-cubes , sugar and "cachaça " ( fire-water ) .
